Family Therapy / Counselling

Family life can be very challenging indeed, currently 42% of marriages end in divorce. All sorts of difficulties and changes can make your life more stressful, such as:

  • Divorce
  • Mental or physical illness, alcoholism, eating disorders or bereavement
  • Unemployment
  • Breakdown of communication within the family
  • older children leaving home

At these times family therapy can help if the difficulties feel overwhelming and you're not sure what to do for the best. I offer family therapy / counselling. The purpose is to help you better understand and support each other, to explore difficult thoughts and feelings safely, understand each other's experiences and views and work together to make positive changes.

For example, if you or someone in your family are stuck in repeating patterns of hurtful or harmful behaviour, then insight gained in family therapy can help make changes for the better.
