About me...

I'm fascinated by people and find it meaningful making a connection with my clients and being part of their journey in life. I am passionate about development and will support and encourage you to grow and develop in ways you maybe hadn't thought possible.

I am an experienced psychotherapist with an established private practice. I work with people over the longer term, in depth psychotherapy, or shorter term counselling depending on what you need. I see clients from a range of sources e.g. you may be offered counselling through your employer, an insurance company or law firm.

I work as a counsellor at a university, supporting students who may be feeling anxious, depressed, struggling with family relationships or just dealing with the particular difficulties that present at this stage of life. I find supporting young people and helping them develop and grow particularly engaging and meaningful. I am also registered with BUPA as a psychotherapist and counsellor on their Mental Health & Wellbeing Network, read more here. I am on the organising committee of the Hampshire Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (HACP) and have joint responsibility for developing the programme of monthly evening talks. I work as a Coach and Mentor, please see the Services tab for more details. I also work with families and have a personal and professional interest in stepfamily situations and I'm a member of "StepIn ASAP" - a group of psychotherapists who work together to research stepfamily situations and increase our understanding of the issues they raise. We all work with stepfamily members. For more information please click here

I have previously worked as a counsellor at a MIND organisation, as a bereavement counsellor at a hospice and at the Arbours Crisis Centre in North London. Earlier in my career I worked for many years in a FTSE-100 retailer within HR in generalist and specialist roles and my unique blend of skills, experience and training combine to provide a professional and warm service to my clients.

I am an accredited member of the UKCP, a member of the BACP and on the BACP Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have a diploma in Family Therapy and am also a chartered member of the CIPD. I completed my training at the School of Psychotherapy & Counselling Psychology at Regent's University.
